I rebuilt a 225 slant 6; it's still on the stand. I want to be able to start it before putting it in the vehicle. (I will move it to an actual test stand with engine mounts.)
However, the starter mounts to the transmission. How can I turn it over without the transmission attached?

Thanks

Install a flywheel and a bellhousing.

Thanks. I actually saw a Youtube today (after my post) of someone doing that. I'll need to see if the bell housing of the trans I have will separate from the trans.

As far as I know, you will need the parts from a manual trans setup. That is the way I have always done it.

Yep, for mopars...

F*rd on the other hand....

Bellhousings aren't too hard to find... slant six 122 tooth flywheels aren't as common anymore...
