Almost finished building my engine and have had a change of direction. Ive decided on turbo charging it now but already have a camshaft ground to RV10 specs.
At the moment, front timing cover is still off and oil pump is not fitted, so will be a breeze to change to a different cam if it is worth while.
Whats peoples thoughts, RV10 good to use, or should I get a grind that is profiled for turbo??

That cam should work fine for a turbo. You could play around with profiles, but not enough is known about Slant turbo cams, really. The Drake's turbo Simca ran a small Mopar perf cam with nearly stock specs (244 deg, 0.436", close to RV10) and I have the same one in my turbo Dart making 350-400 HP on 12 psi boost.

Happy building!

Lou

Look at the cam specs for the Chrysler 2.2L/2.5L Turbo engines from the '80's. Though overhead cam and fuel injected they share a very similar bore and stroke to the 198 and 225 cubic inch slant respectively.
I plan to use a stock 1972 cam on my turbo slant build.
