Hey trust me, if it was me getting married I know where I would do it! And I have a wagon to take on the honeymoon. But it's not my wedding. I did that 40 plus years ago.

Is there a schedule of events for Clay City yet? I have to work the next week and am wondering what time we'll finish up on Sunday. I need to drive back Sunday or take another vacation day on Monday.

Very Excited for this event. Working like crazy to get my car ready. Lots to do.

Finish times at Drag strips vary greatly and can't be easily predicted because of lots of things. Rain delays, oil downs, number of cars......etc. But I figure we aren't getting done Sunday until into the evening. I'm taking off Monday and enjoying the ride home! (@ 480 miles) If I was you I'd do the same for this once in a lifetime event!.

Rick

The times that I have been at Clay City we typically finished the finals around 3-5 PM. As Rick said, your mileage may vary, so plan accordingly.

Why yes you are in an alternate universe, but that is a topic for another thread.

You tell me burg, your son is getting married on the same weekend, where are you going to be?

By the way Ray Putnam and Rena came and visited us a couple of weeks ago, when are you coming to Texas?

Well, I got married on Mopar Nationals weekend, so I guess I can't say much...

Ray Putnam? That is a name from the past!
As for me, I was hoping to meet you halfway, say near Clay City?
Oh yeah, that "Father of the Groom" thing...

I also got married on Mopar Nats weekend, Aug 13, 1995, and it is usually the same as Speed Week at Bonneville. I have been to the Nats and Bonneville a few times since 1995. Chris is always fine with that.

Got the time off approved and booked my lodging for the trip. The Flying Valiant is leaving Gainesville, Florida and coming to Clay City! Now I just need to make sure it keeps running between now and then and figure out why it's still running too rich.

Is there some kind of registration or something I need to fill out or is that taken care of at the track? Looking forward to seeing you guys there.

Clay City is the only slant race we will be running this season. I personally will not be racing the car there.☹

#21 I'm still planning on my 66 Valiant
#22 steve Adams, should have his own car.
#23 Steven Adams probably will have to work, and I doubt I will have my 65 Valiant ready.

Thanks for the feedback Charlie. Are you keeping in contact with the other "Florida Folks" you've recruited?

Check Ellis looks to be on board, for sure! :D
