That’s what is recommended. Nitrous Express calls for 8 psi. I’ve got the Regulator set probably too low for the Holley at 3.

I think I should run a T into two regulators rather than trying to run them in tandem with the first one at 8 and then stepping down to whatever lower setting for the carb.

What is the recommended setting for Holleys...?

With standard needles Holleys usually want 5 to 7 psi.

I would Y or T the line to seapate regulators, it will be less hassle in the end.

8 seems high to me. My Top Gun and NOS systems ran at 5. However, always read and follow all label directions. At 8 psi they must be using a lot of nitrous to keep it from going fuel rich.

Rob the pass I made on the nitrous express I raised the pressure to 8.5 and had no popping or lean problems. May try 9.0 next pass. The plugs all looked good just a light tan color. But remember I don’t know much about tuning.

You probably know more than I do Norm. Are you planning to run nitrous at Clay City and have you weighed the Dart yet? I’m thrashing on my stuff ‘cuz I’m scared you’re gonna whoop up on that B/Nitrous record. :D

Are you just running one fuel regulator for both carb and nitrous?

Be careful adding fuel, especially if you don't know what your nitrous pressure is. 10* on the bottle will change pressure quite a bit, and 100# of nitrous pressure will change your tune-up a lot. Fuel rich will break just as many parts as fuel lean.

One other little thing I learned the hard way, do not snap the throttle shut at the top end, ease up and drive it out after the system shuts off. Snapping it shut (like most bracket racers do) allows fuel to puddle in the top ring lands and possibly ignite. That breaks the land and things go downhill from there.

Haven’t weighed it yet and probably want run nitrous for 1/4 mile run but may on 1/8. I think Ron told me the car weighed 2450 with out him in it. My fat but weighs 256 which will put it barely over 2700 lbs. Don’t know where I can weigh it but will try to find a place or track.

Could you please bring them. That will save me a hassle getting my car weighed, if I get it running good enough to set a record. Thanks.

That would be great Lou if you don’t mind. I don’t think Mountain Park has scales and I probably want have time this week to have it weighed.

Thanks Lou!

I’m not sure I will have all of the AN fittings I need in time. Fingers crossed.

I scraped about 4 lbs of undercoating out of the Duster in my quest to remain in B class with the added nitrous weight.

I got as far as I could with the nitrous install. Hoping the AN fittings get here in time.

I did a little more scraping last night and started buttoning things up. I just called CAM and hopefully the AN fittings will be here today to complete the nitrous install.
