I am certainly not an expert! But Ryan's car (Seymours race car) has the Aviad single stage pump on the passenger side. But his has a lot of non stock stuff done to it. My Valiant had no room to hang the pump on that side. His pump pulls out of the pan into the bottom of the pump and out the top I believe. My Peterson is in the bottom and out the top (or upper side at least) also. My pulley set up came with the pump I bought and is a 14T crank and 32T pump. Gilmer belt also came with it. I don't know that it matters where your pump exits, other than as long as it fits your chasis. You'll also want a oil filter downstream somewhere. Good luck.

No filter before the pump.Mine will come straight from the pan to the pump. Ryan's is that way also.

As soon as I buy it!! :D I am just installing a standard remote mount filter on the Passenger side inner fender up close to the radiator. I will post picture of the filter and hose routing when I get them installed.

Loaded the complete engine and stand onto my pick up and hauled it over to Rob's shop yesterday. Took along a handful of 1 5/8 mandrel bends an some pipe for him to reconstruct the rear header to fit my 3 X 2 Webers. He will be welding in the new external oil pick up in the pan and doing final welding on the mandrel drive for the Gilmer crank pulley. Should be ready for pick up on Tuesday. Also began to disassemble the engine that is in the car and get it ready to pull out. Let the fun begin!!!

Here are some photos of the Work that Robbie did for me. First is the headers that he cut off all thre tubes and modified them to work with my Redline 3X2 manifold with the Webers. It is beyond comprehension how Clifford could build these nice headers and then not have them fit any known manifold without being smashed half shut. Anyway. Rob made quick work of that and it really didn't take much altering to give it plenty of room.

Then he welded in my new pick up and AN fitting in the pan and welded up my mandrel that I built. Everything seeems to fit nice and I'll put a new coat of paint on the pan.

I also got the new cam installed with a new set of lifters. Installed at 100 degrees. After the pan gets painted it is windage tray and pan install time. Then it gets put in the car! :D :D

Those headers look awesome. They were made on the motor, without the car? Amazing.

Yes, the chasis is not the problem. It fits there fine and even has room for the stock torque shaft if you wanted to use that with a 4 speed. The problem is right at the head where they turn the tubes forward too soon and it hits the intake manifolds really bad. He just cut the rear two tubes off and welded them up and then did the front one.
