Sounds good, Rob. Best of luck with the storms and getting underway with everything safe at home.

I have a trunk full of car parts and will leave here late morning. Should get there around 4 PM.

SLAAAANTED BAAAANQUEHHHT!

I'm in Rocky Mount, NC, 600 miles down, about 300 to go. Plan on leaving here, about 7 am. I have a trunk full of parts

Unfortunately i'm not going to be able to make it. I'll be working Saturday morning and hopefully afterwards working on the car trying to get the rear suspension done and working. Have fun yall. If anyone is coming back through Maryland on their way home and has a 2 barrel intake or dutra duals they didn't sell let me know and i can meet you hahaha!

I couldn't make it either, but I tried. The muffler on my truck spit out the outlet pipe on the way up. Just got to be too loud to drive and I had to head back. I had to cobble together a metal shield to keep the exhaust from blowing back onto the (plastic) fuel tank.

Sorry we missed you guys. Ryan C has several 2bbl manifolds - just ask... I got home this afternoon.

What a great event. Hopefully everyone has made it home safely, or will soon. Such a great to see Seymour and Charlie and the Bruners and other folks from far away. Almost time to go Slant Six Racing!

Big Thanks to Ryan and Whitney and all the Covalts for hosting!

Lou

Had a great weekend with everyone. It was great to see everyone and I'm grateful for all of you putting in the extra miles to come up north this year. Sorry a few of you couldn't make it. I felt like the swap meet was a success and I know a lot of people sold (and bought) a lot of parts too.

I'm excited to get the 2019 season started!

I do have a complete super six setup, carb, linkage, exhaust ect. and I believe I have a 2 barrel manifold separate too. If you are interested send me a PM.

Got home about 9:30 Monday morning after dropping off the control arms at Mopar Frank's place. I particularly enjoyed seeing Ella and Lukus Bruner, if Isaiah races with us this year he would be the first representative of the 4th generation of the racing Bruner Family.

Got home about 3 pm today. Had a thrill on the way home. Doing about 65 in the slow lane of three lanes. Idiot passed me on the shoulder and tried to get in my lane in front of me, just as the car in the middle lane tried getting in front of me, not expecting someone to come up from the shoulder. They saw each other but not in time to keep from touching. Luckily no one wrecked, but it was close.

Yes, good to see the Long Haulers again!
Folks from Fl, MN, SC, and TN made the longest voyages to see the 2018 Racing awards ceremony as well as the HoF Inductees for 2019.
One rule was added - which Lou will present in the appropriate part of the forum.

Next year the Plan is to return to the TN / Knoxville Area for the 2020 Banquet celebrating the 2019 Racing Season.

I wanted to thank The Covalt Clan, Rick, Patti, Ryan and Whitney for opening up their homes and businesses to host our event.
Ryan and Rick did a nice job organizing the swap meet and plenty of folks bought and sold parts and I am sure made good deals.
This is such a great group to race and wrench with.

I got a few much needed parts from the swap and bought 2 Items from the Actual RC engines store; a new generator as well as a tiller for the garden. Next time I might have to trade in the Cub Cadet Rider for a Toro TimeCutter!

I should have thought about that! I could really use a good small chain saw...

Glad you all made it back safely.

Rob, I'm glad you got slantkota and hope to see it back on the track someday. (and I can always send you a chainsaw or bring one to a race if you need one)

That will be cool to have 4 generations of Bruners racing too!
