Hello guys, my transmission are at the transmission shop because of BIG leaking problems.
It was totally rebuilt to withstand more power and torque. But very soon it started to leak behind the convertor..
When i checked the convertor hub , it looked quite bad ( the sealing surface)
So something strange had happened here. Problem with the bushing maybe It was the old, stock convertor but rebuilt with needle bearings
So now im waiting for a call from the company.

But i have done some small things at the car . I have a catch can, connected to the valve cover. But i never saw a drop in that can..
Little strange because when i ran with boost it was quite clear there was boost pressure trying to escape from the valve cover..

So i opened the valve cover breather, and it was totally full of oil sludge..
It also had two metal filter with tiny holes for the air to pass.
Decide to take it out, no need for that anymore.

And for extra crank case ventilation i also decide to connect the catch can to the crank case.

Her is some pics of my waste gate silencer. I wanted the car to be little more silent under boost..
And due to not disturb the exhaust flow and rise the back pressure i wanted to separate it from the exhaust system.

The exhaust is not connected to the engine on the pics , and therefore a little lo low...

I played with the dyno chart where it got 324 hp ( dynapack) ) at 14.4 psi. Just 75 % throttle at the moment.

Here are a pics of the possible :-) power - torque with 21.7 psi ( 400 hp-479 lb ft ) and with 27.5 psi (460 hp- 534 lb ft

Looks like nice progress, Thomas!

I bet you split (cracked) the pump drive hub on the converter. That is a common failure point and you need to have an allow (4340 or 4330, usually) hub and a good shop that knows these converters.

I think I am making about the same power as you in my 68 Dart, based on 1/4 mile MPH. About 300 RWHP last fall on 11 psi, and now have been playing with 13-15 psi on the street and will hit the races this weekend.

I still need to try routing my wastegate in a separate pipe. Now it dumps back into the downpipe about 40 cm past the turbo flange.

Best wishes,

Lou

Looks great, Thomas. I bet you cracked the pump drive hub on the converter. I'm guessing you have that figured and fixed by now. Enjoy your Slanted and boosted driving!

Lou

Wow, beautiful build, looks like something you could pull from a late model car. When does mass production start? :D

Hi, and thanks Lou !

mass production ? I am waiting for a message from one more Chinese manufacturer. The first one, could only deliver about one thousand unit per week.. :D

But i have possibility to do one and another in my basement. IF anyone is interested.
I just like to develop things around this engine.. especially about turboing..

Hello,
I installed an Mac boost valve this year. Can be practical to easy regulate/change between low and higher boost.
I have not tried this yet, but it should work ok.
To switch beetween two different boost levels, im going to use an key switch, installed in the cup holder..
Some pics

Cool! How will the keyswitch control 2 boost levels with the mac valve? Do you have a PWM source with two PW settings or??

Lou

I connect the boost valve to digital in (GPO) at the ecu. And one line to +12 v. Its programable to do different things, boost controll, idle controll waterpump , etc.
If i understand it right you can switch between at least two boost levels.

Thomas
