Got a Mercedes Fan/clutch

Took four blade and spacer off

Oops. I assumed I had the small radiator since this is a stripper car but...

Thoughts ? Easiest way to make this work?

Problem is not the size of the radiator. As far as I know they were all the same thickness.
You need to get the "correct" MB fan/clutch. That one is too long. Similar to these.

Radiators are not all the same effective thickness or front/back offset. I don't recall seeing that little clearance between water pump pulley front and radiator back surfaces in a '67-up car, but the pic does not show a 1969 radiator, it's a '73 or later-model item -- which may affect the amount of space you have here.

If this winds up being a "no way, no how" situation and you want to return the fan, send me a PM and we'll work it out. (but you may be better off selling it on; that way you don't lose postage 2 ways)

Can you measure the clearance between the radiator and the water pump pulley? I might have a solution for you (also a SlantSixDan special and a piece of Allpar history see HERE).

So, three total inches between the back of the rad and the pulley face? Let me go measure something.

Yup, I have a fan that will fit your needs with some slight modification. This is the very fan Dan used as an exemplar in the Allpar article he wrote about retrofitting foreign clutch fans to the slant six. I acquired it from Dan years ago to install on my brother's 1974 Duster project, but that project got stalled and sold before I had a chance to install this fan. Last week I tried installing it on my 76 D100 and it fit perfectly- except the bolt holes are too small. Once the holes are drilled out to accept the larger Mopar fan bolts, this fan will work on a slant with no problems. I ended up using a huge five blade clutch fan from an AC equipped v-8 Dodge van in my truck.

This fan has the correct bolt hole spacing:

AND less than 3 inches total depth from face of the pulley to face of the fan clutch:

It will be a tight fit but should work in your application. Price? Shoot me an offer. I am trying to clean out my garage and make some space, and this is the first item from my stash I am putting up for sale. Shipping might be pricey.
