Rob, if you had spent as much time playing Tetris as Wayne spends watching youtube, you would be able to fit 3 more cars in that storage unit

Wanna buy a convertible?

(Yes to the convertible... )

There are about 4 vehicles I'd still like to have before I kick it.

Long Roof, Convertible, A100, Ute... I just ain't in the position to git none of 'em right now apparently... Once I git me some more acreage or under roof space, it's game on! (Just don't tell Angie...  )

Wayne's new title should be "YouTube Master"! :D

I went by the storage unit today and topped off the cooling system in the Challenger to check for leaks. It doesn’t appear to be leaking from the lower row of intake/exhaust bolts...

Just as I was leaving I looked underneath and it IS leaking as expected... just apparently not where I had hoped...

Still hoping I don’t have to take the head back off...

The leak might be the rear most upper intake/exhaust stud. I pulled it out and put Teflon tape on it. Not sure if I will get back over there to test my theory before I go out of town for a few days. It sure would be nice if it were that easy of a fix.

The new pinion seal still leaks, so that has to come back apart.

I'd put a pressure tester on the radiator. You'll find it faster. :D :D

I don't like teflon tape on straight threads. It is designed to work on tapered pipe threads. As for those manifold studs, I use Locktite thread sealer, and tighten the stud untill it seats on the unthreaded shank.

The tape certainly slowed the leak, but there is still a little moisture. At least that tells me I’m on the right track. I’ll pull it again and use loc-tite when I get back from Colorado. The radiator cap would not hold pressure past 7 psi, so I will have to attend to that and re-test as well. I’ll call that progress anyway.
I also got a fiberglass cowl induction hood scoop to replace the one on there now. More progress.

The current scoop is very “Mopar”, but is not sealed at all. It just lets the air blow past. The cowl scoop, along with sealing off the grill area, should help with some aerodynamics as well. Or at least that’s what I tell myself... :D

Aerodynamics is incredibly important on a garage ornament.
