Hi, everyone. I'd like to build a modified slant six based on a 170ci block and a 198 crank. I've already got the crank. (Hooray!)

Anyone have a partial or complete 170 motor? Forced induction is in the plans, so I need a well-cast, crack/weld-free block to work from. I'm located in Medford, Massachusetts.

I know! Reading about your "LG 210" is what got me into this mess.

I might have found a complete-ish 170 in Rhode Island. Hoping to make a trip down on Sunday. Can't wait!

That "low block" 198 is a nice combo and a great running engine...
I would love to find some small, light compact or "sports car" to shoe-horn" one into.
An old MG Midget, Datson 510 or 240Z would be cool.

I have a 1961 170, complete engine. It was pulled in 2006 with a bad skip. Bad compression on one cylinder if I remember correctly.
It’s on an engine stand in my garage in southern coast of NH.
About 40 minutes north of you.
PM me if your still in need.
