 Post subject: Bouncing voltmeter

Car Model: 78’ dodge D100 slant six
Since I changed the ammeter out and did the bypass it’s running great. I added a aftermarket voltmeter to my cluster just in case. I used a sunpro older model that matches the direction of sweep of the other gauges. However it bounces at idle. Any suggestions to fix it? This should be my last and final issue with my truck! Yay

how big is the bounce? Do you see a similar 'bounce when you put a meter on the battery?
If the voltmeter needle movement is a volt or so, it may be sensitive enough to
reflect the shuffling of the voltage regulator.

If the needle movement is a couple of volts and you don't see that at the battery, probably a bad gauge.
