Great results. Sounds like thoughtful plans, Rick. I am sure you can beat Gary's record with some focused work. I was just looking at records and thought you should be able to pop that one.

The MC will not matter too much with that light car. If you want an easy pedal, go for the 15/16". The travel will not be drastically different and you can modulate the brakes more easily. Others prefer tighter travel. I have not noticed much difference myself.

Lou

Got my car on Ryan's scales tonight up in the garage. I was a little surprise that it weighed 2926# with a full tank of gas and me in the car. That's about 100# more than I thought it would weigh. 2682 without the driver.

A little surprising, but you do have a fair bit of street car stuff in there... Have fun with the weight reduction! 225 lbs off will get you 0.3 sec or maybe more!

Yeah, the 3 Webers and all the external oil pump stuff added some weight too.

New Master cylinder installed! Lost another 2# Yippee! Couldn't bring myself to spend $40 for an aluminum adapter plate for the 4 to 2 hole adapter. So after drilling a couple holes and .....yada, yada, yada, out popped an adapter! :D :D Just need to bleed the brakes and we are ready! This also gave me a little more room between the M/C and the air inlet on the rear Webers.

Note- The Master Cylinder that I used was a Dorman #M99294 - $38

Oh I don't know???? Maybe another 100 pound. I'm not sure I really want to do what it takes to lose a lot of weight. Eventually I will get a light weight hood and trunk lid and that would shed some pounds.

Look at the Seymour / Ryan Car.

That's light construction there. It will give you ideas.

Those adapters are pretty simple to make, Espically if you have billets of aluminum around. If not sometimes you spend as much buying the raw material as you do just buying one.

Most of those ideas are not happening to my car!! :D :D

When I'm too old to race I may want it back on the street!
