Yeah,... I know... I have often quipped that I should just get rid of all my car junk and take up something like underwater basket weaving...

It is what it is. Hopefully 2020... Then I can joke about hindsight being 20/20 err sumthin'...

I would tell ya the dumbest thing I ever did, but I'm pretty sure I'm not done doing it yet.

I filled it with anti-freeze and got some fresh, higher octane gas to get it primed for start up.

Water pump isn’t working again. Fuse looks okay this time. Test light isn’t moved in yet... it’s cold in here... I’m going home for some hot soup.

It’s amazing what hooking up your shifter will do for getting your rear wheels to spin....

All is well there. I ran the alcohol out and ran it just a little with gas to clean things out.

Plenty of things still to fix before Spring, but the major systems now seem okay.

Water pump started working again too.

The Challenger sounds completely different than the Duster. Not even comparable.

Things I need to do to get ready to race:

Replace pinion seal (again)
Make a piece to cover the grille opening
Change the oil
Replace coolant with water
Install new harness
Put the slicks on
Remount trunk lid

Things I would like to do to get ready to race:

Replace hood scoop with cowl induction one
Get a new Challenger grille graphic
Thorough cleaning
Clean Lexan
Put it on Quinn’s chassis dyno

Several other things I’m forgetting on both lists I’m sure.

Top list has to be done. Second list....(?)

Y’all know how I am about competing priorities... It ain’t worth listing ‘em...

I know....

I’ve struggled with that for years.... However, the Six Pack scoop on there now really needs some help. It just allows the air to rush right past the carb (toilet).

I want to be as aerodynamic as I can and try to keep the nose down at high speeds. Norm mentioned the front end would tend to get a little squirrelly at the top end sometimes.

Every once in awhile ya gotta sacrifice form for function...

Tell ya what, let's call it an AMC part, 'cause my '71 Javelin AMX with the GO Package had a functional factory fiberglass cowl induction hood.

Can't duct air from the fenderwell or radiator support? Eliminate the scoop completely.

The toilet sits up above the fender line. I need enough room to cover it with some space above it for air flow.
