7- Glen moving to 14's with much more power, maybe a altered wheelbase car.
8- PJ with less turns on the throttle stop..She ran low 15's last year but this car will go alot..alot faster
9-Fopar may be Mopar now as has in working on a early lightweith 63'
10- Doug Powers is now retired and will be working on a 13 second 170 powered car...Good..there will finally be someone with another 170...
11- Josh with his RX-203 project..
12- David with new roller rockers...should be 13 second car again..

I'll go first...







The car will be powered by a +.040" 198 which makes 203ci so the RX-273 will change to RX-203. The engine going to be about 10.25:1, decent cam, Clifford intake, headers, etc. It's going to have a full exhaust system and working lights so I may even drive it around a bit and run it at the late night drags in Portland. I'll be happy if it's under 2700 lbs with driver, but it may be a little over that. If it doesn't get done in time I still have the Valiant for the first race or two.

OK.....my car is at www.munkracefab.com now - It will be getting subframe connectors,cross bar...few other things.
The engine i am building is going to run on 6 cylinders this year....and may even break my 16.75 times.LOL
I hope to get the engine bits all here soon.....just got a box from Doug.(thanks Doug!!)now just waiting on more stuff before we take it all to the machine shop.Will be spending more time w/ the crank and die grinder next weekend I hope.....can we say knife edge?

I am installing a fuel cell and lines in my 66 Valiant. Also will be totally redoing the ignition and fuel system wiring. Hope to get rid of my annoyning misfire, and get it into the 12's. Will also need new slicks.

Will also be working on my 65 Valiant, 170 turbo car. Maybe have it running, again, in 2009.

Nice projects folks and the RX will be very nice when done, nice cage work Josh! My project's progress is hinging on the selling of my '71 GTX, but I will be working on the slant racer this winter when I can. It's a '65 Valiant, 2 dr sedan, narrowed 8 3/4, coil-overs w/ladder bar rear suspension, disc brakes all around, fiberglass hood and scoop, lexan to replace the safety glass and some serious sawzall work. The engine's going to be a normally aspirated 170 w/198 crank and should finish in the 214 cid range (nothing trick and pretty straight-forward), coupled to an 833 4 spd. Should be fun, especially with the clutch-assisted 4 gear! I'm REALLY looking forward to getting this slant racer going as I know it'll be loads of fun, and that is the name of this game...FUN! I can say for sure, it will NOT be running this year but my wife's fresh '74 Dart Sport will be. I hope to see y'all next season, in the meanwhile...wrench hard and keep warm!...wb

I replaced my name on the list with Andrew. I will not be building a new car this winter. I may make some tweaks to the Hooptie, and hope to make some progress on Linda's car, but none of that will be ready for next season.

My Daytona is supposed to be gotting into my buddy's shop in 2 weeks to start the firewall/cage modifications to make a Slant fit. Right now it seems like springtime is a long way away and we have plenty of time, but I have been fooled before.

I have several projects going, as always, but on my same 3 cars.

Project V will be re-released as version 2.0 (hell or high water). 2600-2650 w/driver and new motor, rear, body, etc... 13s for sure. 12s??

'64 Dart will get some engine mods, just finished front susp and brake upgrade and tubular sway bar. Possible new engine if time?

'68 Dart has turbo exh manifold under construction, frame connectors, and cam swap is planned. 15s on motor (again, slower since 2001), then turbo will go on for 2010...
