For what it's worth, I would start with the basic build. 100 thousandth is a really large overbore and you would need to very carefully check you block before doing it, .060 is much more likely to be satisfactory. Do thing is a planned sequence and see what you get from each step before sinking thousands into a build and possibly being disappointed.

well for the street I do not have much knowledge with what I am doing I will admit I dont want to sound like I know everything because I dont but I would intende on using it for street use. By the way how do i contact mike jeffries?

Right now, the main thing your "shopping list" is going to do is cost you a lot more money than you need to spend. As the others have mentioned, it's best to start from the start (specific goals for the car in terms of intended purpose, performance, economy, etc.) rather than from the end (particular parts). Stay away from Clifford. Driving on the street? then you don't need a 0.100" overbore. You don't need roller rockers. You don't need to lighten the crank. The Demon 390 carb might be workable for you but will cost a lot more than you need to spend and is probably bigger than you need. You'd also probably be happier with Dutra Duals rather than headers on the street.

Take a few steps back and a few deep breaths...it's really easy to get all excited about a buildup featuring all the high-dollar, fancy special trick parts and the techniques that always get splashed across the covers of those stupid car magazines. The result of doing so instead of starting from a purposeful plan is usually expensive and disappointing; we just had a member here on the forum finish doing just such a buildup, over a year's worth of expense and effort, and now he's selling the engine 'cause it doesn't work the way he dreamed it would. We all told him that, he didn't listen and swore he was right and we were wrong, now he's taking a loss. Don't let the lesson escape you!

Dans right just doint trow money in a project until you decide what you want . You can spend a lot of money and not get the projejt you want. So tell us your project and this is the site that can adivice you through knowledge and experence. Thanks Ron Parker

Does your 70 Dart Swinger have front and rear anti-sway bars, good shocks and tires?

If the car is running OK, may-be you start with a good engine tune-up and do a little suspension up-grade to get better handling, that will make the car a lot more fun to drive for a lot less money.

If you do want to build a performance engine, start looking around for a good rebuildable "core" engine. Find a 68-75 SL6 that you can start working on and build-up over time. Swap it in when the time is right but enjoy driving the car until that time comes.
