My 65 Dart Clutch housing bore runouts .014 which exceeds the FSM max allowable (.008).

Offset dowel pins are recommended (I need about .006 offset).

Has anyone done this and found offset pins?

My FSM discusses this on pg 6-5.

Using the P4120383 I checked to see what is available online.

Apparently this is a kit containing a offset dowel pair of 3 different sizes sold for between $66 & $80.

I also came upon one pair of .007 offset dowels at Mancini Racing for $48 right along side the P4120383 kit that has the following description which they claim simplifies installation:

Bellhousing Dowel Pins, Adjustable, .496 in. Diameter, .007 in. Offset, Pair ; Lakewood EZ-Adjustable bellhousing dowel pins are unique because they slip easily into the engine block and are designed to be turned with a wrench rather than a screwdriver.

Has anyone tried these pins?

I like the idea of buying only what I need at a lower price with an easier installation.

Boy prices have gone up at the dealer lately...I'd definately like to know on the other kit, I like the idea of using something other than a screwdriver.

I ended up buying the Lakewood offset dowel 15950 for $22 including shipping.
It's not the fancy adjustable one but at least I didn't have to buy a kit with pieces I didn't need at $65 + shipping.
