Ramchargers were from the 80's. The vehicle I saw it in was a state of Tennessee vehicle. 4X2.

Just got home from PicknPull in Chico. 77 Aspen had factory heat shield, with a fresh carb for my 77 Aspen. I snagged them both. The heat shield can go to whoever will do the right thing with it. Let me know. Bruce

If nobody else steps up with intent and means to create a pattern for the heat shield, I'll do it.

I would say I would do it, but it would be a lie. I know it would end up shoved off to one side of my workbench next to a pencil and a pad of graph paper and I would keep meaning to do something with it but would never find the time.... :?

Well, I can create a vector file of it and make it available for download, so if shipping it to Canada is not too high, I'm interested.

Dan, with your knowledge you might do a better job than me (like maybe creating a 2 barrel version like Reed suggested). What do you think?

You can try scanning it in parts, with enough overlapping and some registration marks, I should be able to trace a full size template.
(Laying a ruler on the scanner for reference will also help).

Good friend of mine is building a CNC machine. I hope he will be willing to cut a few shields out of an aluminum plate. :)

I have the factory two piece type off a 1981 truck. I also have made one for a two bbl carb that seems to work well. I do not have the means to copy or fax these but I would be willing to mail them to some one that can copy them. The down side is I would like them back.

Send your heatshield to Agressive Ted.

The one I had seems to have disappeared.

Not to get side tracked, but were there ever a heat shield for the Super Six, or would it be of much benefit?

Also to toss this out there, I have a friend with a couple CNC machines, so maybe he'd be interested in doing a small run as well.

"Need them back" is not an impediment as far as I'm concerned.

2bbl version is yes.

I made a full size pdf of a template created from the photos. I'd gladly post it here if someone would tell me how. Don't know how to post a pdf.

Is that to say that there was a factory heat shield for 2bbl slant sixes? Do you have a picture of one or can describe how they vary from the 1bbl shields?

Guys,
I need an email address if you want a copy of the template. It is in pdf format. Or, better yet, if a moderator could post it for anyway to get--that would be more efficient.
