Just want to say that I would NOT recommend these guys. Were all too happy to take my money for the scraper set, but it took them more than three months (from late July to late October) to ship. All along they ignored repeated calls/emails, etc.

The scraper seems to fit OK, and will work fine I imagine, but the buying experience was severely lacking.

Don't be too hard on these guys or anybody else who will still make parts for our engines. With the low volumes involved you cannot expect to always have our parts on the shelf. Be thankful for what you can still get even if you have to wait a while. Just my 2 cents.

I have not bought anything from them yet, but I was planning to for the next engine build.. It Takes Mike Jeffery Just as long to Hand build windage trays and scrapers as well..

If you read the text on their site carefully - They dont stock any of the parts, They are made to order when you place the order..

Maybe I am used to this when I order oddball one or 2 off Hi po slant stuff.. If it's custom and a person has the willingness, shop and resources to do so you might have to put up with a bit of slowness.

Patience Grasshopper.

I do sympathize with your calls not being returned etc.. That however is just common courtesy and decent business sense.

Greg

I have a Johnson scraper in my motor. It required a lot of massaging to make it fit. If I would have known about Mike's scraper kit I would have bought his.

My concern about Mr. Johnson was his meltdown on here when questioned about his horsepower claims for his parts.

Mike does not make parts as a business, just a sideline during the winter when he is not racing or farming.

Fair Enough.
I do Have one Of Mike's Scrapers.. No Complaints Not much fuss to install either.

I did want to try one of the I-J teflon slant scrapers... They advertise a scraper for the up and down stroke.

I Mean It's Pricey, but for my situation I have to just throw money at it and try stuff at thiis point.

Mine only scrapes one side, the other side is just a spacer.

I have no issues with the quality.

Throw money.

I have an up/down Johnson scraper, on the shelf. It is for my next (good) 170 motor. Also have a single 170 scraper, with a spacer on the other side. Just about any scraper will need to be hand fitted.
