I would love to have the info from your head repair guy.

Ron Hamby has used an iron welding/repair place successfully pretty near you, BadVert, in VA. PM Ron and see what he says.

BTW, that is the sensitive spot on Slant heads and everyone hits water there. Go easy on the places between the I/E ports...

The welder I used was Crow Custom Welding in Hudson, WI. check out their website. I also had a similar repair done by Indy Cylinder Head Service, but a second porting job broke through again after I had made only a few runs so I can't say how it would have held up.

I haven't posted pics in a while. I have been busy. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, you can see the car in person at MD this spring. Here is a shot of the completed engine, just waiting on the front suspension/K-frame to go back on the car.
