Took my 1963 Dodge Dart 270 to a car show in my town, had to replace the starter right there in the parking lot. Hey, at least it's a classic so I don't have to jack the car up or remove other stuff to get to it.

Would you believe that actually happened to me once in an Autozone parking lot?

I usually only get oil and antifreeze there but had to actually make a purchase that day.

Nice ride :D

Six years ago I pulled the 904; why, I don't recall. A day or two later I drove the Dart about 100 miles to a car show located on a very flat fair grounds. At the first stop sign encountered near the show that converter bolt clank clank clank rang out. I drove the last half mile to the show, got situated and let it cool off.

After looking for a gully or ditch deep enough the allow my fat carcass under the front end to access the converter bolts proved to be a fools errand it then dawned on my atrophied old brain that popping out the starter would accomplish the bolt tightening task with next to no effort. Ten minutes later she was all buttoned up, and I was on the road back home. Got to love that high mount starter.
