I rebuilt a 225 slant 6 that came to me in pieces. I don't have an alternator. And, I don't recall seeing a belt tensioner. Is there supposed to be one? I want to run it before installing it in the vehicle and need to install a belt between the harmonic balancer and the water pump pulley. Any suggestions on how to get that installed with no tensioner and no alternator?

Thanks

The alternator serves as the tensioner.
