Doing a trans swap from a 903 3 speed to an 833OD. The 3 speed was set up with a low mount starter and I need to install a high mount starter for the 4 speed. What would be some recommendations for a new starter. I have seen everything from a V6 Dakota to a Hemi mini starter. Any suggestions would be great and the most frugal choice would be best.

Thanks

1992 Dodge Dakota Starter V-6 or V-8 is the easiest 'cross reference'.

These are typically about $35 tops at local junkyards and fit all common high mount starter applications...

Thanks again DI, do I need to remove anything from this starter as my truck has a relay for the starter? Thought I read something about this but can't seem to find it again.

Thanks again

Is it a relay or solenoid? The 10 tooth starter equipped vehicles had the relay, and no mods needed... the 9 tooth starter circuit will
need to change as the starter already has the solenoid...
