Im in the process of installing an electric fan on my 67 dart. I noticed the replacement alum radiator doesn't have any openings for a relay/sensor and both of the openings on the block are being used. Is there such an animal as a housing with a threaded opening for this type of situation? What other options are there the block is a 66 if it helps. Or am I better off just staying with the mechanical fan. Thanks for any input. Tried adding a couple photos but they wont upload.

It seems to me like I have a housing in my pile at the shop that has a threaded boss on it. I have no clue what it came off of, maybe late 70s F body?

Yes, they had a vacuum switch in the thermostat housing, should be 1/2-18 NPT.

Watch out for depth though. The factory switch didn't project into the housing, but an aftermarket temp sensor might. You may need an adapter so it doesn't hit the thermostat.

Badvert I don't have one yet so my options are pretty open a friend has a slim fan hes going trade for my 1" to long 16" fan. Im at the very beginning right now.

Ill be checking my local wrecking yard tomorrow maybe theres something local I can find. Thanks guys.

So im deciding rather than risk adding more juice flow to my 67 darts wiring Im going to go back to the stock radiator with a clutch fan. Any ideas or directions for locating a shroud for this unit. Thanks.

I had the same issue on my 67 Dart a few years ago. I have never seen a factory fan shroud on any 67 Dart A/C car or not. I'm sure they exist but I have never been able to locate one. I used a new Fbody radiator with a shroud, thermostatic clutch, and a 5 blade fan. 99% of people will not know they are Fbody parts. It fits good, looks good, and works like a Champ. Just throwing it out there.

I have pictured part installed in to lower radiator hose with thermostat switch having the same switching degree I have the opening point of the radiator thermostat.

Electric fan operates smoothly. No activities when car is on the highway but during the stop and go city driving does its work well by short intervals. Together with this electric fan I have 22” wide aluminum radiator.

As the electric fsn has high power motor an external relay is required with thermostatic switch.

I have this exact product, but mine is anodized gold. It's 40mm and had a grounding screw. IIRC it was really cheap too, something like 9 bucks.
