I am trying to find bumpers for a 66 Cuda. However they are hard to come by although there seem to be plenty of them for other years including a 67. Does anyone know if the 67 would work without a lot of modification?

Wont work. 67 - 69 is a narrow style and wider. Yours is a tall bumper with no valance panel under the bumper. Keep looking and post a parts wanted message. 66 Valiant is similar.

I have a set of 66 Valiant bumpers and brackets, which I believe are the same. I am pretty sure I will never use them. They are not great shape, but could be shined up or rechromed. Getting them to FL could be an issue, but if Charlie Schmid comes up for a race or banquet, that would get them to Ocala at least.

Thanks for the replies. Lou I will talk to Charlie and see his plans. The car im doing is actually his old Charlie's Angel..Front bumper is Rusty and the back is dented. A tree jumped in front of me as I was backing up. Anyway let me know the price and I'll check on rechroming costs

Sure. Glad to hear you are working on Charlie's Angel! Great car...

Let me check and make sure I have the front and what shape it is in. The rear I just laid eyes on. Front might be at my friend's place in NC, so would have to send it later.

If you don't mind something non-original, I have found that painting the bumpers with satin black makes for a nice look that is very affordable and simple.

Thanks Lou. Actually my body guy suggested the same thing. A high quality chrome paint is also an option. And it is a cool car that will be done right. I have my eye on a beefed up slant in Georgia. Im also thinking about fabricating a console and using a push button set up. Buddy of mine did it years ago and I always liked it. Im not worried about keeping this original at all.
