Are the throttle rods the same for a 225 and 170?

I now have one of each and was curious about the interchangeability. Did '65 and '66 also use the throttle rod or did it get changed to a cable type assembly?

Thanks,

Greg

65 Slant 6 had the rod, V8 had cables. I think 66 changed to all cables but I am not sure.

The only pre-'67 LHD Slant-6 A-bodies that had cable-type throttle were those with factory air. All others had the rotating-rod setup, in which some parts are different for 170 vs. 225.

Cool.

Thanks for the info.

Sorry for so many questions, no one around gere knows or cares about anything for these cars.

I appreciate the resources!

Greg

No they are different lengths 170 is shorter than 225 because of the deck height difference of the block.
