Probably waiting on parts? Or engine work. If so, time to start calling every day! :D :D

Elmer responded to my first email in only 1 day!!! :D We are fine for one race Saturday and one race on Sunday. Saturday is T&T also but you would need to pay extra to run that class.

Thanks a bunch, Rick! What time to time runs start on Saturday? Gates? I'll probably drive up Sat morn, and maybe can convince Victoria to come with me...

Best, Lou

I will check and get back with you on the times. There is no "gates open" time on the schedule for Saturday. Racing starts at 11:30 Saturday. Sunday the gates usually open at 8:00 and the racing is scheduled to start at 12:00.

** Elmer has been known to start 1/2 hour early many times so plan accordingly.

If the weather is good for the Mopar event you may be setting out along the road waiting to get in for a 1/2 hour or more. More to come.

I will start a drivers list. Please correct and add names if you aren't listed.

Rick Covalt- Valiant
Secret Driver - Rick's Truck
Andrew Shank
Ryan Covalt- If the stars all align and rivers not to high :D
Greg Ondayko
Lou Madsen
Brian Droschak-
Charlie Schmid- Trying
Steve Adams

Unknown??
Brian Mimken
Ken Anderson
Matt Deemer
Dan Gravatt
Mandy Gravatt
Phil Stoneback
Derrick Sword or Dad

Add Steve and his son Steven to the list. One car. Unless I can't make it for reasons other than the car. I will see if Steven would race it.

Great to know about timing. I'll be there Sat morning to be ready at least 1/2-1 hr before the stated time. Hoping I can convince Victoria or my new friend Mark to join me.

The Florida gang are planning on leaving Thur morning and arriving Fri evening. 900 miles is too far for trying straight thru.

My weekend plans for Mason Dixon are still very murky. Most likely scenario if I can make it would be as a spectator. I'll let you know how things are looking closer to the race.

Well everyone's plans for Mason Dixon just got murkier! Elmer strikes again. Here is what he sent me after he told me it was fine to come for 2 races as we have always done.

Subject: Re: New Message From Mason Dixon Dragway

I just talked to Jake, Saturday is a Street Race and there are way to many classes to do another class, We Have 5.90, 6.50, 7.10. Drive In Street, Sportsman Street, Pro Street, Quick 16 #1, 2nd Quick 16, Modern Muscle, Nasty Nines and MD 275 Class

I responded with this:

Really? We always came for 2 days on Mopar weekend. If we can't run our own class, are all the rules for all these classes you are having on your web site? I am assuming we can't all fit in any one class, since we have 20 second street cars down to 11 second race cars with slick and open headers.

So we can only have our own race on Sunday. Just wanted to let you all know. We can race in their over scheduled street race if we want to! And quite frankly I don't car if we cancel the whole thing. Maybe I'll be happier tomorrow, but I doubt it! :?
