Thanks for posting that, Greg. I'll talk to Motormile about July 22-23 or Aug 19-20.

That puts me out of the running for a 2022 championship. I just can’t drive 14-18 hours each way for 4 races. If I can’t make a run for the championship, kinda seems pointless to even try to make any races with gas as it is. Rick, please discard the little present I sent along with the trophy.

I can do Knoxville, London, Clay city and of course Mokan. MD, VA, and OH are just too far away.

Edit: Sorry guys. I got a little hasty with my comments. Wait…..why do I race?? Oh yea.. to have fun and meet great people. I’ll make as many as time and budget allow. I re-mapped the OH race and it looks like that’s no difference than Clay City, London, Knoxville, so I’ll try to make that race. I had to remind myself that we are all in the same situation with everything we buy and everywhere we go.

I'll do the coordination for the June race in NC.

I've reached out to Farmington Dragway with a proposed date of 3-4 June. More to follow.

Update for the Mokan race. There is $100 for the car that tows the furthest. No purse at this time but I’m still working on that as well as a nice trophy.

If enough people want to, we can run 1/4 mile race and then regroup, and run a 1/8 mile race. I’m in favor of a two race day.

Edit: Our good friend from Carthage MO, Mark Goodman, has stepped up to be the trophy sponsor for the Mokan race. I’m still working on purse money.

Thanks for your input and help, everyone! Jeff, you are on the right page in my book!

Rob and all: I may wait to contact Motormile until Rob hears about Farmington in June. I am quite wary about having a 5th race in/toward the east this year due to car attendance and everyone's overall effort. I would love to go to Farmington, and do not need to host one at Motormile (although I'm happy to do that).

I am open to discussion on this, but I still think fewer races with more cars is better than more races with few cars.

Thanks again and Slant on,

Lou

Maybe I was sleeping when we discussed the schedule. I thought we decided to do both NC and VA races. :?

Brian is gone all of June, so I said I’d coordinate… :?:

I thought so too. But whatever the most of you want is fine with me. I probably will not be going to Knoxville & I can't make Clay City. My races will be Mason Dixon, Farmington and KD Dragway(OH). I likely try and come to Motormile also since it is only 4 1/2 hrs if that one materializes.

Hi All,

I am skeptical that I will be able to make 5 races, and I wonder how many others will want to do that. Another way to say this is: Which races do we want to really promote and fill up, and which ones do we think will be small? Unfortunately, it was hard to tell at the banquet due to the low turnout, and thus my feelings about this...

For me, I would like to go to Mason-Dixon, Farmington OR Motormile, Webster (Ohio), and Clay City. I also doubt I would make Knoxville unless one of the others gets rained out.

Thanks for the discussion,

Lou

If fuel is more expensive as i would expect it to be I may nor be able to make many races even if I had the time to do so.

I will attend what I can..
