Mokan summary:

3 entries
Jeff Kendall (SDRA Rail)
Denny Bairel (Driving Steve Nitro’s Supper Charged Duster)
David Willis (Driving a Blue Duster for ??? I can’t remember his name)

First Round
Jeff vs Davis = Jeff Wins
Denny vs Bye = Denny wins

Second Round
Jeff vs Denny = Denny wins (Jeff looses because of a bone head really bad reaction time)

A great day racing at Mokan.

Steve Nitti and Denny take the Mark Goodman custom made trophy, plus the $100 tow money for the furthest tow. Congratulations Steve & Denny.

I believe there will be some record forms submitted in the near future.

Yes. Just a one day event.

I raced 3 classes, so it was like a full weekend compressed into 4 hours.

Have we heard any more about the Farmington event? June or July dates?

That’s on me. I have not followed up with Sandy. I will reach back out to her again.

I just locked in the Farmington race for Fri/Sat July 22/23.

I updated the first post.

Since that's the next race on the calendar, I'll start a Roll Call...

Dang! I wish I had a car to race!

I'm still planning to come if fuel is not $8 a gallon, and there is more than just me? :) Hope some of the locals will come out!

Dallas just informed me that KD has pulled the plug on the Inline race. Low car counts and high fuel prices are their reasons.

I pulled the plug on the Farmington race as well. I updated the first post.

Next race is scheduled at Clay City, KY 9-11 September.

Once Rick coordinates for the Mason-Dixon make up race, that one day event will be added.

UPDATE on Fri Oct 28 and Sat Oct 29 racing at Motormile:

At this point, the purse for this event weekend will be $500 + whatever we gather at the gate. Thanks to Seymour Pederson and other donors for this support!

The buy-in for each day of racing the Slant 6 class will be $25. You will pay to get in the gate (as spectator or test'n'tune), then pay the Race Coordinator (me) $20 for each race day. You may have to pay test'n'tune fee ($25) instead of spectator ($12) to get in the gate with your racecar.

So, if we have 8 cars on a given day (Fri or Sat), then we will have $200 plus $250 = $450 for that day of racing.

Let's see a good turnout for our last race of 2022!

Lou
