Looks like nice quality stuff, fer sher. I don't see the vernier-adjustable cam sprocket for the slant-6, only for small LA and big B/RB V8s. I can't recall if the slant uses the same cam sprocket as the B/RB, or if it uses the same crank sprocket. It's one or the other.

I've got timing sprockets and chains on the brain today. This morning, I was digging through FPCs to try and figure out if it was '70, '71 or '72 when they first used the aluminum cam sprocket with nylon teeth. '72: 2806 945. '70: 2806 945. H'mmm. Turns out that P/N was introduced in the '67 FPC ("Part not listed in any previous parts catalogue"). In '66, we see the 1947 XXX number which dates back to '60.

OK, so I definitely need to do the "hand turn the engine back and forth" test on my '71 with 142k miles to see how far I can turn it before the distributor rotor moves. IIRC those nylon-over-aluminum sprockets have a reputation for getting chewed up and letting the chain go slack.

Cam sprocket is different on BBM and /6, crank and chain same.

Cameron Tilley has just had some adjustable billet cam gears made for the Romac chain. I think Tom Drake is handling US sales...

Yeah, B/RB shares oil slinger, crank sprocket, chain an rear main seal with the slant 6. Just got me a set of fel-pro rear main seal rubber replacement. Got tired of dealing with the f++cking piece of rope!

I just got A romac Damper For the slant.

Nice Piece.

It has Timing marks built in, with a Belt pulley in the stock location for you street acc. folks.

It is Rebuildable and I got it for a nice price on Ebay.

Just search for Romac / THe vendor was hd_mad_dog

He aparrently has been importing romac Equipment.

yep, got one for my sb car. very nice compared to the cheap "fluidamper" i had. very lightweight. swap to that damper and alum flywheel and modified t-q really made a difference. much quicker revs. i bet a slant would like the same.

Hoping to find out oneday James...I have the rollmaster and the romac waiting for the '66 barracuda drag car. These look like very nice pieces...

The Romac Balancer uses the Timing marks from a 66-and older Front timing cover - I didnt have one on those timing covers layin around so I just Got out the old trusty paint Marker and Painted on TDC - I guess you could cut off the timing tab and reweld it to the passenger side of the cover too.

Just say I own a few Mopars

Nice thing about RSA slants/Valiants - we never changed much - the timing cover stayed pre 66 style till 81, always had forged cranks, updated cylinder heads in 68 - the suspension parts stayed the same from beginning to end
