Someone mentioned realgaskets.com as a possible source for valve cover gaskets and trans pan gaskets. I called them up and guess what.... Mopar guy. Buttoned up the motor with the new gaskets they are very nice. I would say the valve cover gasket is the best I have ever seen. He is working on a oil pan gasket it looks great too. Just to let you know I like them.

He has the oil pan gasket available now. I just ordered one. I mentioned spark plug tube seals and he is going to look into those as well. He wasn't aware of them.

Real good -- great to hear the good reports. I'll be interested to learn details on the new oil pan gasket (1-piece...?). It would take a lot to sway me away from the ultra-premium Chrysler transmission pan gasket described here, though. Once you use one once (and you can use the same one again and again), you will never want to go back to any kind of a floppy gasket again.

It is not a one-piece gasket. The same as the usual with the black ends. I believe (not sure) the black bits might even be regular rubber. The rails are definitely the realgaskets silicone.

I have a set of REAL-GASKET valve cover(airhead)gaskets and an oil pan gasket on my BMW that are over 20 years old!(277K on the bike) The gaskets were originally made for airplanes I believe. They do LAST. Excellent products at a Fair price.
