Dennis, thanks
Ed, the leak was in the very bottom of the tubes in the outside bottom corners.
The OE radiator had experienced 39 years of service. The 83 D150 is my daily driver 8 months
of the year, so dependability is important to me. I was OK with re coring it.

Well Done! I've been checking for your updates every few days. You got quite a bit done in a short amount of time. I really like your attention to detail. I got to see this truck in person one time, I'm thinking it wasn't too long after you had finished it up. We were at Clay City I think. That was the time Ryan was tempted to see if he could win against you in his big blue W-100 and he never made it an inch off the line  --- Good Times

I remember that. Snapped the rear U-joint! I took him to the parts store. Fun times!

Yes Great Memories!
I remember lining up against Ryan with him driving that jacked up D150, I could beat him then, not so much since he switched to the Valient!

my favorite memory racing the D150 is:
I got it done just in time to drive it to Clay City for the Slant Six Drags, I had just got the truck back from the paint shop and I worked like crazy installing the drive line , running wire, and so forth.
I worked late Thursday night to get it done to drive it there on Friday. When I hit the road Friday AM for Clay City that was the first time the truck had been out of the neighborhood under its own power in over a year.
Well I got there, made a few runs then drew Mark G's Green Lancer with Rusty driving in the first round. I had zero time tuning the motor, there were issues with the wiring, notice in the video below the front parking lights come on when I step on the brake,,,,Then the front brakes would not release for about 3 seconds,,,,
So I have my 19 second D150 going against that 11 second machine. I take off and am halfway down the track before I hear Rusty on the rev limiter, I remember thinking that there is no way he can catch me. He does and he goes screaming by, like a rocket. W :D W! The video is below.

Spring is here and Summer is not far away, put the '96 GMC Sonoma in the storage bay and got the '83 D150 back out and on the road.
It has 46313 miles on the odometer as it sits today, I had re set the odometer back to zero when i did the major rebuild a few years ago.
Looking forward to another summer of driving.

Have to say something about the 83 D150.
It got a lot of use over the late spring and early summer months transporting me and much of the garage stuff from Indy to Greenville.
There was the no start issue, resolved by severing the wire that goes from the coil to the tach, that wire also is the signal for a rpm switch and a shift light.
Was busy enough with the move that other than cutting the signal wire and getting the D 150 to start and run again, there was no additional issue investigation or fault finding.
Last week I did run a temporary jumper across the severed wire, and the no start issue came back, remove the jumper and the D150 ran fine. The fault causing the problem is still there.
Figuring that out will need to wait till next spring.
With winter on its way, I put the D150 in storage here in Greenville. The local board that runs the Fairgrounds rents out space in the various building for car, truck, RV and boat storage.
I parked the D150 in the basement of the Fairgrounds Coliseum. Clean - dry inside storage for Mid October to Mid April is $140.77 total.
Thats very resonable.

I did the same with my camper last weekend in the county to my south. (Conveniently it's also near work)
Hadn't seen much from you in a while, was wondering how things are going
