Finally got a mostly clean run over my favorite twisty. Ran up on the rear bumper of a 6th gen Corvette lollygaggin' along. He couldn't handle that and picked it up. We had a good run for a while (stupid Prius drivers!), but I might have damaged his ego as he couldn't really leave me. I'm sure it wasn't his car's fault. The Bils' are really good! The stubble bumps that used to send the car skittering now don't even register. The QA1 UCA's put enough Caster into the front end to tighten up the steering. Still have a little dead-band in the middle of the steering, but its over 1/2 gone.
Need to clear out some other projects in process so I can get on the sway-bar project.

Wow!!! Love, love, LOVE it! You've given this car some amazing attention to detail. I'm especially impressed by the pure artistry on both ends of your throttle cable. And so many other carefully-thought-out mods. You've built a car I've been drooling over for a quarter century or more -- it existed in my mind long before I learned anyone was creating one. I'm 100% sure that I would have, myself, under different circumstances... but in life we take the paths we take.

I guess I've been hibernating for too long, lurking only very sporadically, way too busy. Ten years of living in a small apartment a few blocks from the ocean has its perks, but watching everything rust in the salty air is not one of them. Ya learn to cover tools with blankets, but only after it's too late for some of 'em. With no place to park but the street, I intentionally haven't been looking for a toy/project.

HOWEVER... we just bought a house which is many miles away from the salty air. And I'm fixing it up as fast as I can, so we can move in and enjoy it... not to mention stop paying double rent. No garage, but at least I'm upgrading to a carport!

Thom, for a toy like this, I would have expected that your interest would do nothing but go up, each time you get it closer to what you dream of. Not to mention as it gets even more exciting to hang on with the Corvettes. You've done the majority of work necessary; isn't it more fun than drudgery by now? I would urge you to keep smiling your love on it… and take me for a ride next time I'm anywhere near you.

But life has a way of throwing curve balls -- I understand that as well as anyone. If we can't convince you to keep it, then… let's chat. (I sent a PM but it seems to be stuck in limbo, so I figured I may as well step out and say hello.)

However it works out, thank you for sharing all these stories and pictures! You are a true artist and inspiration.

The issue is that I have a long sequence of vehicles that I'd like to build.

I NEED to get the Bronc-up more done, they're never done, done!

It is far rougher than it looks and the Valiant keeps distracting me.

Aw shucks. Well, my Sweetie will remind me that I've already got more fun projects than there is either time or space for.

Let's hope the new owner enjoys it and keeps us posted, since with a vehicle like this there are sure to be some interesting developments. Such a car is never done.
