I got my 66 Valiant convertable in 1968, it had less than 7,000 miles on the odometer, it has 75,000 now. I haven't driven it since 91. Enough is enough! I was starting to gather info and parts to drop in a 360 but later changed my mind after finding this board. I got jacked about building a killer street six. I have done hours and hours of research, gather lots of parts and now its time to get going. Thanks for all of the help and information. Here is a before picture. Soon there will be an after picture and some inbetween. Keep on sixin'

Thats great cycldog ,abuilt /6 will definately raise more eyebrows at cruise night than just another 360 just remember that the road less traveled is rougher but the rewards are much greater.Good luck with your slanted project.

Well things are getting closer to doing the engine. I have most of the parts gathered, cam, pistons +060, the headwork is done, bigger valves, hardened seats, 340 springs, milled 080, rebuilt rocker assy, Doc Dodge oil pump. I bit the bullet and ordered a 3 Webber side draught set up. Coming from a motorcyle background these carbs are more cycle-like than a "traditional Detroit carb" so I feel I understand them better and I like the idea of one barrel per cylinder. I haven't made a choice of headers yet but am leaning toward the Clifford street rod. While the engine is out I'll paint the engine bay and install larger t-bars and switch from power to manual steering.

Leaning towards Clifford for headers? I can't find anyone else who has them!
