That doesn't look right...……….

A slant is

EIEIEIIEIEIE

Looks like you've have a carb on an I, then a carb on an E, then E , then I.

And you're missing 2 carbs.

Sorry, I'd assumed Ed was kidding me some. Presently "re-membering" said definition.

Yes, per this thread, Cassi has a Buick str8 impersonating a slant. I wanted the space to play intake and exhaust games a la Ma Chrysler on this roadster (as well as simply being addicted to unique, one off toys), so added 28* to the engine mounts.

One of the fun parts so far was cobbling up the pb904 adapter kit. 8)
But I forgot to take pictures of the bell housing aspect of that part, so will have to add'em later, when I dismantle for paint & reassembly.

Here's the Flick'r set link for the project.

I counted 12 ports, so assumed slant 6.

Wasn't thinking siamesed intake ports.

Yeah, and we think a slant's intake path's convoluted.

Not that adding 28* helps the problem any.
Guess I'm just a glutton for punishment, eh?

I finally got around to noticing what appear to be 3/8" extensions used as the firewall end of the linkage 8)
Are they of the wobble variety to allow for flex?

Nah, there's enough wobble in the regular ones for the application. They're more for ease of disassembly & modification when I fiddle with things. Came up with the idea on my cars back when. I'm pretty lazy at heart.

I'd wanted to go with 1/4" drive ones for Cassi, but only had spare 3/8" to sacrifice to the cause.

Had to clean out my old ceramics shop area for the stained glass shop I'm putting together for "retirement". That was where I'd stashed all Cassi's parts while I cobbled on the "slant 8" conversion. So, I had to paste'er back together (nowhere else to stash the parts for now). The C-19's changed several of my plans, setting Cassi back a bit once again, but I thought I'd at least add a pic or two of how she looks together.

Well, it's been awhile once again. However, it looks as if my life's settling down for a bit, for now at least. Been having a fang at Cassi the last three days, working out on the dash. Just needed to get something visual accomplished to get back in the "feel" of actual progress. 8)

Only our definition of "slanted" by stretching said definition of course, but a couple extra cylinders & only two degrees shy of thirty should qualify for at least a humor award consideration, right?

Aside from the /str8 aspect, I'm also building'er with a pb904. The buttons're now in, and are Mahogany, and in an oval pattern, both of which go with the rest of the Nash dash. Took a bit of tinkering to get'em working smoothly (and neutral's still a tad sticky), but I'm happy with the result.

Re-assigned a couple of the switch functions, but managed to keep the gennie switch panel intact. Re-faced it with some more Mahogany of course, a bit darker this time to go with the steering wheel & push buttons.

Anyway, here're a couple pics & a vid link of the latest work ........
