Has any one tried these shocks on their 70 to 74 Dart?
If so, will they settle a stiff ride?
I have sway bars and extra stiff leafs......ESPO 6 leaf.
I am running Monroe gas shocks and they are pretty harsh at times.

Thanks!

Not quite the same but i have them on my 1993 Ranger pickup. I didnt think they felt any better than the stock shocks except that they werent worn out, but the Ranger being 20 years newer handles pretty good when it was new.

Hi Ted,

I have KYBs and 6 Leaf springs on my '68 Dart 270.

I can sympathize with the "harsh ride" comment. Bumpy roads sometimes feel like I'm driving a go-cart.

The Edel IAS shocks are head and shoulders above stock replacements, or the KYBs. I've run both on two A-bodies. Spend the cash for the IAS and you will get better handling and a nicer ride than KYBs.

Lou,

That is what I was looking for. My Dart weighs 3280 pounds. I wasn't sure if the IAS were designed for handling that weight with the stiffer suspension components.

Sounds like they should be a great solution to the ocassional rough ride.

The reports from Mopar handling guys who have talked to Edel said that you should be able to handle twice the stock spring rate, so no problems for you. I have 0.920" TBs on the '64, which are about 60% higher than stock, and they are fine.

I received a set of koni shock for the cuda as a test - but the edelbrock units looks like a good option as well - comment?

Bang for the buck - get the IAS's.

Best shocks - hard to argue with Konis. (although I've never tried them)

The IAS rears for an A body are the same as Ford Explorer rears. Summit had them on sale for $20 last year......
