All,
I have looked through the posts on this site and others but I seem to be lacking something. I have a 1978 Volare that I am trying to rebuild the front suspension on. I am struggling with the torsion bars (the rest is complete).
I have drilled the rivet from the torsion bar end bushing (Moog K7289) but I can not get the bushing bracket off the bar. I have tried pushing it out the back and rotating it. Trying to push it just bent the 1/4" thick plate and twisting it was impossible. Is it just that rusted or am I missing something? This is the last part to replace before getting the Volare back on the road.
Does anyone have any pictures of a new bracket or one they removed so I know what I am working with?

Thanks,
Tom
