I inadvertently throughout the 10" parking brake strut and lever for the 8 3/4 rear end putting in my valiant.

When scrounging a wrecking yard for them, it appears I picked up parts off of a 11" brake set up as the strut wont allow me to put the drum on with any slack.

I have found repro struts for sale, but I am wondering if the brake levers are interchangeable by chance?

Thanks
Austin

I wouldn't think any of the pieces would interchange between the 10" and 11" brakes. I thought the strut bar was available but not the lever itself.

I'm fairly certain the 11" levers are longer.

I just got done rebuilding a set each of 10" and 11" brakes. Nothing will interchange except the stupid simple stuff like the lock pins and keepers. I was able to cruise the pick-a-part and go through a bunch of Mopar rear brakes. I found the 10" E-brake levers and struts would fit that came on some model of 90's-ish Jeep. If you go this route, get the shoe keepers and cylinder push rods too, none of them come in a rebuild kit. The other piece of the puzzle you will need is the strut rod anti-rattle springs, they also do not come in any rebuild kit I've seen. You can get them at NAPA, part # 80744.

I have a pair of 10" strut and spreaders left over from my 8 3/4" disk brake upgrade. You can have for cost of shipping.
