So I’ve read the debates to run or not
Car is 90% drag 10% street

I had planned to run the shields cleaned up one spindle degreased wire brushed painted ready for new ball joints and hubs and reassembled

Spindle #2
The brake dust shield is rusted a lot worse behind rotor so it’s no good looked around not seeing new shields listed for 1973 A Body

Skinny drag lite front tires rotor hangs out in the air
Forget the shield or order parts hoping they fit ??

I don't think it really matters much. I left them off a drag car (small weight reduction). New/used shields shouldn't be that difficult to find.

Shield are not rally needed unless you drive in wet or dust a lot. Race cars do not use them at all to keep the brakes cooler

Deep water is all they're good for. And disc brakes shed water really well.
