Post subject:  Signature Photo Instructions & Guidelines
To add a photo to your signature, edit your signature to include a link to the image, like this:
[img]http://example.photo.host.com/mypictures/selectedpicture.jpg[/img]

Please include only a small picture in your signature; keep the file size under 8k, and use an image no more than about 200px high and no more than about 400px wide. Use a resolution of 72dpi. Also, give some thought to the content of the image. It's best to try to keep them relevant to this board. A photo of your car(s), car part(s), or yourself, for example.

I would like to change my photo in my signature . Since we can host the pictures here now, how do I get them into my signature line? I know how to get them into a post but the signature is different?

It can be done..
1. Post a normal ss.org forum post with your attachment..

2. Open the image from your post.

3. Copy the link that refers to your image.

4 in your signature include this code..[ img]put the link in this space.. be sure to include the entire https...[ /img]


Be sure to remove the spaces i put above in the img example.


I just used this method to post robs lancer above in this post. No reason it shouldnt work in a signature.. you might need to edit the size of the picture before you try this.

Thanks for the instruction, Greg. This works great!
I pulled this one directly off a previous post.I think it's a little big so I'm using this post to get a resized version to use for the signature pic.
