Post subject:  Email notifications of new posts never arrive
Yes, i checked my spam trap. I do so multiple times each day. Not there. My email address has not changed in decades: it’s my domain email. Very stable and reliable.

* I am signed in to the site
* Under Edit notification options i have the Email boxes checked for ALL options except Not “Someone creates a topic in a forum to which you are subscribed.” So, it IS checked for both Someone replies to a topic you have bookmarked and Someone replies to a topic to which you are subscribed
* I am subscribed to a topic of interest, usually where i’ve posted with a question
* The “Notify me when a reply is posted” box is always checked, as it is right now for this post

Months go by when i’m not on the site, because i’m not a regular.

I come back, site shows i’m still signed in. There is a notification on the site of a new post in a thread to which i’m subscribed, often only days after i was last on the site.

I never receive email notifications.

Why?

Not sure. I'll look into the issue.

Definite Nope, as of 8:06 PM PT.
Not in Inbox.
Not in any layer of spam trap.

Far as i know, not having problems getting email from anywhere else.

Just tested sending to the address i PMed you, from 2 different accounts: working fine for me.

Hmmm. I saw notifications both from the PM Greg sent, and from your reply to this topic.

I'll go back through the settings to see if there is anyplace else it could be shut off.

Double check your settings. Everything is enabled as far as I can go. The rest is in your profile, which I do not have access to. When we were monkeying about with the server settings, it's possible something in your settings was disabled, as they might have been for all forum members. Make sure the correct boxes are still checked for your preferences.

What might help is if you can tell me the sending address the system uses. That way i can get with my email service provider and find out if they know anything.

I have a whitelist entry already for *@slantsix.org, but i’m not sure if my ESP’s system supports *.

Thanks again for looking into this. Very frustrating to not get notifications and get swept away by other life events then forget to manually check back here for useful answers to asked questions.

To my amazement i received a notification email this afternoon, for ProCycle’s reply to my oil leak post. No idea what’s different about this notification.

Saw that the sending address is sl6@omnipages.com, so whitelisted this on my ESP’s system. Time will tell whether this is sufficient.
