On my 63 valiant slant six, been trying to find the timing marks.... .I cleaned up the old timing marker on the block and can now read the number... however can't tell where the mark on the crankshaft puley is; I just see a small concave area on the pulley. Any tips?

Feel around on the lip of the damper and you should find a small notch like a hacksaw cut. That will be the mark. It's possibly full of crud.
