An Accusump is pretty simple, and if you're going to run one of them out of oil, a pan that will live on a street car isn't going to do the job either.

Slow down around corners. Problem solved.

Just asking, but have you had any bearing problems or does the momentary pressure loss just spook you?

"Slow down around corners..."

Yeah, right. He's probably also looking for drop spindles and a fiberglass roof for an 89 B200! :D

Thanks again for the input everyone.

Greg: I am not so worried about things falling/sucking up, but more about trapdoors sticking shut eventually. Maybe not a big deal, but I am a fan of simplicity when at all possible.

Dennis: No bearing problems yet, just trying to plan ahead for stickier tires and/or tricky corner combos in autoX or road courses (higher/longer g's). Believe me, I am not one to be spooked easily...

The pans I have on my 64 Dart and 66 Valiant seem to be doing the job with only 3/4" of additional depth, kickouts (8 qts), and static baffles, AND in cars with streetable tires. With slicks, maybe not... I doubt this new 64 Valiant engine/pan project will see g's you can get with slicks as it is even more of a street car.

Joe: I would LOVE to lower my 89 B350, but that's pretty far down the list. Replacing the 360 with a turbo 225 might be higher up on the list...  I can tell you that my 68 Dart motor on 6 psi puts out more power and torque than that 360.

Cheers,

Lou
