Sorry, didn't realize there was battle. I did search and found only a post or two.

There have been more than "a post or2" from him on you tube on the subject.

And a firestorm from members of sites such as FABO among members picking him apart

I searched backwards piston. Didn't search for uncle Tony.

Thanks. I'll edit the previous post.

You won't have to look hard, he's all over you tube.
Lots of controversy over what he posts.....

Pistons corrected. Ready to go in again. Installed old cam gear and spun the cam and oil pump for a bit. Turns much more freely now.

Was going to install the new rollmaster timing chain and the cam sprocket doesn't seem right. Factory has a boss that centers the gear on the cam. New gear has nothing. Am I missing something here? Nothing to center the new cam gear on the cam. Nothing to hold it in the right position forward and aft.

Eta: Does the chain center the cam gear?

No, Sum-Ting-Wong, chain can't center it. Part# on that T-kit?

The center holes look different sizes too?

Nope, It looks like you have the wrong gear. Or at least one that was not finished with the recess for the cam. Center hole still looks large to me?

Picture shows the rim that isn't there. May just have to buy another. I'll wait till Monday to see if they respond. It is outside the return period so don't blame them if they don't accept a return.

Ordered another cam chain set and the cam gear is slotted. Don't think I can use a button to adjust degree with this. The picture looked like the stock gear with 2 holes. Does anyone know of a place to get the right cam gear?

What happened to your original double roller set? The new one looks to be the stock type gear? Wouldn’t the company send you the correct set?

The double roller set had the wrong cam gear. Think it was for a big block. They did accept a return.

I would install this set and see how far off it is but then wouldn't feel right returning it. Was going to drill out the cam pin hole and use a bushing to degree the cam. Don't think that is possible with this slotted cam gear.

Go to Rock auto and lock it up on there. I don't like the slotted one. I think I got my last set at Auto Zone and it was correct. ( No slot)

2 more timing chain sets have showed up with the slotted cam gear and are going back.

Found this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/266459928542?m ... media=COPY

Will a sealed power gear work with a Cloyes chain? One of the sets was bought as pieces and I could return the cam gear. Use the Cloyes chain and crank gear.
