Seems iffy, when I click some of the PNs in the kits, I get a 'not found'.

Might want to try dual 2bbl Webers from Tom Langdon, $90 a piece new.

See this thread: http://slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php ... n&start=15

I'd be happy to share my experiences with this setup, runs great.

I called Tom and left him a message that his domain expired today; that he should renew so people can reach his site.

No disrespect to 67 Dart 270, but do you really want the hassle of 2 Webers?

I can tell you from experience that one is more than enough hassle for anyone!

:P

Yea one carb is enough. I think the Weber 38 is what I want. Just need to know the best way to get there. It would be nice to find something bolt in for my 1980 truck.

Yes, Sean, that Offy manifold, but milled to take 2bbl carbs. Offy will do this for you if you ask, they didn't charge me any extra, I just sent them a template with the dimensions. I have the template or an extra carb gasket if you want to go that route; dimensions depend on what carbs you plan to use.

And, yes, I love my dual Webers, great fuel/air distribution with dual carbs/manifold to the SL6. They are progressive, so you can get good gas mileage or stomp it down and get performance. I average about 20 mpg on mine, but I'm a lead foot too often (love the sound of my six when all four barrels are going on the on ramp) and sit in traffic alot. They are easy to tune and stay tuned. It's also really easy to match the airflow with a snail gauge, and I have bungs in my down pipes to set the AFR to match in each bank. I was going to do dual singles, but Tom L. (his website is apparently down right now) sells these wonderful matched 2bbls for $90 a piece...so...they use them on Chevy 230 cu in. inline sixes, perfect CFM's for a 225, didn't need to change the jets or anything.

I've heard there are basically two Weber camps, hate 'em and love 'em. I've had great experience with them so far. As I said, they did flood occasionally at first, but I found out they can't take 8-9 psi from the stock fuel pump, you have to run a pressure regulator to cut down the pressure to about 3-4psi. See: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-12-804/overview/ this one allows you to run your gas line in the bottom and then two gas lines out, one to each carb. I put a little inline pressure gauge before my regulator so see how much pressure goes in, it's at 4 psi.

My brother always ran a 4 bbl on his slant, he swore by it. It has the advantage that the engine compartment can easily handle those long runners and the carb is further away from the block so heat soak is lessened I would imagine. I've never run a 4 bbl intake on a slant only factory single 1bbl (on my '70 Valiant way back when, God rest it's soul), and now the dual Weber 2bbls.
