I have a proper super 6 BBD that had a bunch of bad pieces from corrosion, and a '71 318 BBD that was really nice. I rebuilt the '71, only to fight the drilled plates and loose shaft. The super 6 BBD has a good, tight shaft and undrilled plates. Can I swap the lower plates?

Bump...

...and to be clear, I'm taking about wanting to swap the entire lower plate assembly, not just the 2 butterflies...

Thanks!

As long as you are absolutely positive that all the passages in the castings line up, go for it.
