My son and I were installing a slant when it got away from us--man these things are heavy, and for obvious reasons, don't want stand up! Anyway, the only damage done was to one rocker adjustment screw (crushed the nut part that protrudes from the rocker).

We're hoping to get this puppy back together and running by this weekend, so we can tow a boat. I'd imagine this part has been out-of-stock at my local Mopar dealerships for decades, but if I had a part number maybe I'd get lucky. Alternatively, is there a newer part on more recent engine that will work in a pinch? Maybe one that's longer with a lock nut, for example.

Any advise/help much appreciated. Worst case, I'm gonna braze a bolt down the center of what's left.

Thanks!

If you were near Salem, I could just give you a replacement rocker with the screw and you are off and running.

Thanks for the reply and offer. I might just drive down to Salem, if I can find time. I bought an early electronic distributor and control unit from a guy down around Salem a couple years ago. He had lot of slant parts and cars. Was that you?

Wasn't unless it was a custom distributor, I used to recurve distributors and only have a couple cars...there are a couple of
other board members in town that might match that description better.

PM me if you are wanting to make the journey.
