G'day, I have just got the above car back on the road after quite a lot of work.
Im in Australia so Ill refer to sides of engine as ignition side and carby side.
Now the Carby side mount looks ok but the ignition side looks very bodgy
theres multiple flat washers used to space the mount bracket away from the motor 3/8"
the mount itself is about 1 1/8 thick and teres anothr 3/8" flat washers where the bracket goes to the k-frame.
The mount itself has two threaded studs coming from it.
I purchased the ignition side mount to suit an Aussie S-model as this is closest to the Lancer
the S MODEL Motor mount has two smaller theaded studs on one side and one threaderd stud on the I pesume upper stud.
Sizing it up under the car the S-Model mount is very different.
Anyone got a pic of a '61 Lancer motor mount? ignition side
HELP!!!

Well that's interesting, just looked up your car, very stylish , very Virgil Exner, my fuel side mount is the same....The ignition side well its difficult for me to see on that pic which parts are steel and which are rubber, I can see where it bolts up to the engine but Im having a hard time visualising how it connects to the K-frame.....One thing is for sure..mine is all wrong BUT...Its doing the job!
Im actually surprised Ive only had the one reply...Yours!~ and I thank you
Does this forum have much life in it?

We're still here.

My '61 Lancer has been converted to a Gasser, so that K frame is long gone.

My other Toads have the '62 and later K frame. so I believe the motor mounts are also different, but I will try to get a couple photos for you.

it would seem the 1961 Lancer ignition side engine mount and bracket is peculiar and unique to 1961.
Though why a later year couldnt be fitted is beyond me...I wouldve hoped the answer could be found here.
Also have a quandry with the rusted fuel or gas tank as you call it there...Is there any other later model gas tank that can be made to fit?
Right now Im using a 10 gallon ebay Fuel Cell to get me by...maybe that should be a seperate post in the fuel section
