I'm currently having alot of issues with my truck electrical and it just not wanting to start in general. I'm thinking of just putting a more modern engine and trans to get rid of the issue. Any good motor and transmission combos looking for something that's reliable easy to fix and something that won't need to much custom work done to it. Maybe a kit that's aftermarket that would make the install easier. Any info would be great.

Probably much easier, cheaper and more reliable to move up a few years and buy something that is already what you want.

However if you are having non start "electrical issues" with a slant 6, changing to a modern fuel injected engine may have "electrical" issues as well.

Find out why you Slant 6 won't start , and fix that. You may save a pile of money and frustration by not swapping the engine, transmission, fuel system....etc. Good luck.

Based on your other thread about not starting, I am assuming you don't have a lot of knowledge about automotive electrical systems. Trying to adapt a newer (fuel injected) engine and/or trans will have many more electrical issues then you have now.
