A few years ago, I started to make a list of race tracks I have raced at. :o
New York: 8
New jersey: 5
Pennsylvania: 6
Maryland: 2
Virginia: 3
North Carolina: 3
South Carolina: 1
Kentucky: 3
Tennessee: 2
Florida: 8
Georgia: 6
Illinois: 1
Ohio: 1
Connecticut: 1
Mississippi: 1
50 dragstrips over a span of 64 years. This does not include road course, circle track (both dirt and paved), or autocross, as I have been mostly a drag racer.

Very cool Charlie!

Thanks for sharing that!

Quite an impressive racing resume.

Dang, that has to have been a lot of fun.
I have only raced at tracks in three, maybe 4 states.

It was fun, but sometimes I have a tendency to overdo things. Like having 4 cars at the same track on the same day, in 4 different classes. Or racing 3 or 4 different tracks in the same week. Or one track getting rained out, so haul 3 hrs, to another track that was running. I must be getting old, as I can't do that stuff any longer.
PS: It is a shame, though, as at least half those tracks no longer exist.

Pretty good career Charlie!

I'm a lightweight. Only 29 for me. Most I did was 3 classes in a day, a car and 2 bikes.

I will say, this was 47 years for me since I made my 1st pass at US30, and last weekend at 41 was the most ferocious racing I've ever seen. They actually paid bonus money for reaction times that started with .0000X. Yes, 5 places. They also paid bonus for hitting your dial .000.

It was awesome to see.

Awesome stuff, both Charlie and Dennis. Dedication to being part of the action. I will try to tally up tracks, although I'm sure I will not surpass either of your numbers.

Slant on,
Lou
