When tuning without an O2, this is pretty iron clad that the car will run faster when hot when it is lean, and faster when cool when it is rich. 0.2 sec difference is quite a bit. The only thing that could goof this trend up is if the outside air temp were getting warmer while you made the engine temp cooler. I'd probably jet down 3 sizes and try again.

7.80s here we come!

Lou

It was warming up some weather wise.

I might be messing my self up thinking that since the carb was jetted for 93 E-10 it's rich. I had to jet up 3 sizes when I went to it from no alcohol 91 on the other motor. This motor may have a lot more hair than I thought......

I also remembered that I have a Chuck Nyutten 650 DP that I got from Mike. Might have to give it a try now too.

I've got another 650 from Mike around here somewhere too.

I'd probably take that alky carb back too, since I don't have enough misery in my life now.

Got notified today my 5.13 center section is on the way.

Going to try and test Friday at 41. They rained out last Friday.

If the 5.13 shows up, cousin and I will put it in Sunday.

Yes. With 4.86 gears I am turning 6000 at the 1/4 mile stripe. I think I can leg it out with 5.13's as I am shifting this motor at 6500.

I still have my 5.38's too.

I am racing pretty much only 1/8th mile now anyway.

Cool.

I wanna try the 4.88's again with my 29x 11 slicks to see if there is any gain to be had before futzing with converter or cam.

The way your car prints timeslips I'd leave it alone.

I think I can get a couple more tenths out of mine yet.

yes maybe, but if the printer can be improved, why not? and I can always change it back.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained! :D :D
